Huw Priday is a Welsh tenor who has traveled the world singing with prestigious opera companies and appeared in ‘Phantom of the Opera’ in London.

Huw Priday was born in the small market town of Brecon, Mid Wales. Coming from the musical Land of Song that is Wales, Huw is proud of his Welsh heritage. In 1904, Wales experienced a spiritual revival that brought hope, peace and repentance to the nation and reached out globally with a message of God's love.
Huw won the Tenor Solo prize at the prestigious Llangollen International Eisteddfod festival and was awarded the 'Princeps Cantorum' title for Singer of the Year. He studied at the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and the Royal College of Music.
Since graduating in 1986, Huw has appeared with all the major British opera companies. His operatic career has also taken him around Europe, singing in Germany, France, Spain, Sweden and Denmark. He also has an extensive oratorio and concert repertoire that has brought him all over the world - from Australia, America and Europe to the Middle East and Far East.
Notable performances include singing for royalty and heads of state like Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Princess Diana and princes William and Harry. Other distinguished guests include the Sultan of Oman and the kings and queens of Denmark and Sweden. Prestigious venues he has performed in include the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Royal Albert Hall in London, Sydney Concert Hall, and the Royal Opera House in Stockholm.
Demonstrating his versatility, Huw sang the role of 'Piangi' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera" in London's West End. In 1999 he starred in the world premiere of Alun Hoddinott's "Tower" in Swansea, garnering critical acclaim. Recent highlights include his concert and TV debut in the USA with engagements planned for 2004/5 in the US, Canada and Europe. In 2003 he sang in the world premiere of "Oratorio Terezin" by Ruth Fazal at Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music.
Recent concert appearances include performances across the US, Germany, Singapore, Korea and at illustrious UK venues like St David's Hall in Cardiff and the Royal Albert Hall. Huw has made several UK TV appearances on the BBC and ITV, including "Songs of Praise" and "My Favorite Hymns".
